Protecting the privacy of our customers and clients is an absolute "must" at eDocOffice and Kaberline Healthcare Informatics, ("eDocOffice.com").  We have a long-standing tradition of recognizing and protecting the privacy of customers who utilize our services and purchase products from our firm.   eDocOffice.com and Kaberline Healthcare Informatics maintain strict customer information privacy policies and we are diligent about safeguarding customer information and communications from unauthorized intrusions.   Our close working relationship with medical,  dental, veterinary, accounting and legal practices demands the highest standards in confidentiality and privacy of information.

eDocOffice and Kaberline Healthcare Informatics will conform and comply with all privacy regulations under the "Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information", as established under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Section 264 of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act  (HIPAA).

Informed Choice:  eDocOffice has put in place this Online Privacy Policy to protect customer identifiable information.  This policy covers eDocOffice.com, Kaberline Healthcare Informatics, partners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and subsidiaries, and applies to all customer identifiable information that is obtained when a customer requests  information or purchases products or other online services.

Disclosure:  We will not sell, trade, or disclose to third parties any customer identifiable information derived from the use of our online services or purchase of products -- including customer names and addresses -- without the consent of the customer (except as required by subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process or in the case of imminent physical harm to the customer or others).   One exception to this statement is the registration requirement of software purchased by customers from eDocOffice, which normally requires name, address, phone number, and other contact information be disclosed to the software manufacturer or distributor in order to register the software product and issuance of product serial numbers and activation or verification keys.   eDocOffice cannot guarantee or warrant that those manufacturers or distributors will comply with the same customer identifiable information disclosure restrictions to third parties, which we adhere with this Policy.   When eDocOffice utilizes other agents, contractors,  affiliates, or companies to perform services on its behalf, we will bind that company, individual(s), or entity to protecting your customer identifiable information consistent with this Policy.  

Customer Choice:  A customer may choose not to receive direct marketing communications from eDocOffice in connection with our products or other services.  Upon such choice, eDocOffice;  (a) will not contact that customer directly with marketing messages about eDocOffice products or other services, and, (b) will not use customer identifiable information obtained from that customer's registration or billing information to contact that customer with marketing messages about any products or services we offer.  Keep in mind, however, that eDocOffice may coincidentally contact the customer based on address, phone number or e-mail address information obtained completely from an outside and independent  source, unrelated from that customer's contact information maintained by eDocOffice.  A customer may choose not to receive such messages by e-mail, by mail, or by telephone.  

How to make this choice:  Unless otherwise provided by means of a check-box or selection button on various eDocOffice websites, web pages or order screens, the customer should compose a message to be included in the additional information section of most product order screens which states that they choose not to receive marketing messages, as listed above.   The type of messages chosen to be excluded should be specifically identified (e-mail, mail, telephone, etc.)   If no such location is provided at the time of ordering products or services, the customer may send an e-mail to eDocOffice (info@eDocOffice.com) which states that they choose not to receive marketing messages.    The type of messages chosen to be excluded should be specifically identified (e-mail, mail, telephone, etc.).

Security:  Use of credit cards by the customer as a means of purchasing products and/or services from eDocOffice are considered safe insofar as the customer's credit card company customarily guarantees that the customer is not liable for unauthorized charges made on the internet.   In particular, American Express Corporation and it's various issued credit cards are protected from any unauthorized online use or charges.

Additional Privacy Protections for Children Using the Internet
eDocOffice joins the computer and online industry in recognizing that children, including young teens, may not be able to make informed choices about personal information requested online.

Accordingly, eDocOffice does not target children or teenagers (younger than eighteen years of age) for sales or collection of information online.  We do not solicit or collect customer identifiable information targeted at children or teenagers under eighteen and do not allow anyone else to do so on our Web Site. 

Finally, eDocOffice encourages parents/guardians to take an active role to protect the privacy and security of their minor children and to prevent the inappropriate use of information about their children.  We support the development of technologies which help parents/guardians to control the collection and use of personal information, but that do not censor content, from children who use online services in their households.
